Hantu naik basikal-(the cycling ghosts)

it all started when my dad was scolding me for leaving my room lights and the hall lights switched on daily throughout the night. he said "everytime u come home...the phone bill, the net bill and the electricity bill sky rockets up..(he he)why are u so afraid of the dark?ghost will come and eat u is it?" and i dumbly replied" it has been scientifically proven that ghosts dun attack when the lights are on" and he asked me back "has it been scientifically proven that ghosts exists in the first place".i had to keep my mouth shut after that. that was when my mum piped in. it seems she and my dad saw two malay ladies cycling in the dark around 2.30am. it happened when they were travelling back from KL to kulim and that is a jungle area with no lights and even my dad had to drive really slow coz it was so dark and spooky and while he was taking a corner..he saw the two ladies( their back towards my dad). according to dad, they both looked almost the same from the back..same hair length, same baju etc. he said he wasnt sure if they were ghosts but who in the right mind will be cyling in the dark near a jungle area without lights at 2.30 am? in the area like mine..after 10 pm the whole town is dead.no one will be out unless it is extremely important. i asked my dad if he turned around to see their faces but dad said he didnt want to( it seems if u try to look at its face or mention that you saw it to someone else at the same time..it will follow you back:P) and my pesky bro asked"did u see if those ladies got legs or not?"(another tip:ghosts dont have legs..but i do wonder..how could they cycle if they have no legs?) and that was when all kinds of ghost stories came in..

mum told about her friend sighting a lady all dressed in white with long hair (typical) pushing her baby's pram in the middle of the highway near the jungle area and stories about jasmine scent and "bau kemenyan" in the lab came from dad.my sis...aha..she said she heard someone cutting nails at the rear end of my bed at 4 am in the morning.we all made fun of her..the ghost got no other better time to cut nails huh?you see..what spooked me more was the fact that my parents dont really beleieve in ghosts and when one of my siblings are afraid..they will ask us to be brave and say there is no such thing as ghosts...so when they started telling about their experiences..it really chilled me to the bones.

which brings us to the next topic..what are ghosts anyway?do they really exist?i investigated (he he...officer sherlock suba;),sorry..royal officer sherlock suba:P)

Ghosts are spirits that come into manifestation in ectoplasmic form. They are spirits trapped between dimensions - usually third and foruth dimension. As with all things - ghosts have their own frequency signatures. They communicate telepathically - in though form. Anyone who has opened their gifts of clairaudience and clairvoyance can communicate with them. Ghosts can also communicate through tools like - ouija boards and other forms of mediumships. Ghosts usual come to communicate - not torment the people they come to visit. Poltergeists on the other hand enjoy mischief and can get violent. Ectoplasm is the substance that enables spirits to manifest physically to some degree. Sometimes the ectoplasmic energies can be seen - and other times photographed. Ectoplasm is not solid in consistency - it is more like a 'haze' in density! When photographed a true spirit will appear as circular rings of energy. for more info..visit this site:

i have got a few books about ghosts too..mostly about zombies and voodoo practices and also about ghosts from titanic. those who are interested can definately borrow it from me.

and do ghosts exists? i really dont know..wait till i see one(i hope not). until then,i am going to sleep with all the lights on and the blanket over my head and leg(like a mummy)just in case the nail cutting ghost gets cheky and starts cutting my nails.besides,if the ghosts were cycling wouldnt they have reached kulim by now?yikes!

beware of the bacterial invasion

Was watching the beakman show on TV with my younger brother the other day. There was this piece of information that was totally icky. One kid asked why does our mouth smell so badly and the answer is…hmmm…the mouth is like a tropical rainforest. it has 100 percent moisture and it’s damp with very little (almost none) sunlight., it’s temperature is around 35 degrees Celsius. And just like a rain forest…the mouth has over 400 species of bacteria and the population of these bacteria is larger than the population of the world. And here comes the reason why it smells.. Living organism produces waste and therefore the smell in our mouth…that’s cause by the bacteria shitting in our mouths..Eppss!

It’s not that I don’t know this earlier but the way beakman said it…it was just plain disgusting. One thing that got me thinking was if the amount of bacteria in each of our mouths itself is larger than the population of the world. ..could they mutate and devise some plan to take over the world?? Pretty dumb question but… COULD IT?

Talking about bacteria reminds me of this experiment we did in school last time when I was in form 5. It was to find out if eating guava leaves does help stop diarrhea. Well…When u were purging did ur mum or granma ever tell you or force you to eat guava leaves? (daun jambu batu). Well it is supposed to help so we wanted to find out if it was true..so we reared some bacteria in a few petri dishes. Once the jelly in the dish was completely covered with bacteria…we dug a small hole in it and filled it with 1. water( control experiment) 2. guava leaf juice 3. some other juice.

We left it for a few days and later we saw the petri dish with water and the other one with some other juice..the jelly was still covered with bacteria and looked as revolting as ever.. and for the one with guave leaf juice..the area around the hole..well guess what…there was no bacterial growth anywhere near the hole filled with the guave juice..experiment successful!! We presented the experiment to najib (education minister that time) during our science fair and he was pretty impressed. I thought I would be elected as the royal bacteriologist. Too bad fate has written the word IT on my forehead..sob sob!

On lighter note..thanks guys (especially shanks, kameeni and sa) for commenting on my page..it was fun reading your comments..continue commenting;)

No A's straight go to jail?

was reading dewan siswa last night.there was an article about trailer drivers.well do u know that trailer drivers can earn up to RM 3000 to RM 4000 monthly?well not the salary...salary is just RM 300 but the commision...thats a lot..depending on the value of the goods they carry. pretty impressive..

and those who slog to finish their degrees in 3 to 4 years will not be able to earn as much.so next time you see someone without a degree or good education background..dont scoff..chances are he is earning more than you.

it's not the end of the world if u dont do well in your studies. there are many ways out there to earn and to survive. i have read many stories about dropouts, illiterates and disabled people who have achieved high goals in their lives. it is facinating what humans can do as long when they set their mind and heart into it devoutedly.

there was an indian boy in my primary school last time. extremely naughty. talks non stop but he is a bit "gagap".he was in the last class.and he was not doing well in his class.after finishing primary six i went to my high school while he went to another. his high school was the most notorious school in my district. all those students without any A's and single A's will be sent to that school. i remember last time my Malay language teacher used to refer to the students in that school as "sampah".i thought the boy will not do well in his studies and most probably will end up working in a factory.

boy was i wrong..for now he is driving a beemer(BMW) and is juggling between a car dealership business and another direct sales business. he is doing so well and here i am still struggling to complete my degree and he is already established in his life.

so next time someone doesnt do well...dont look down on him or her and next time u dont do well...think...the future is still very bright..

Yoko Ono?

i admit when i wrote the article titled "define peace" i didnt know much about john lennon and yoko ono.however when i saw the comment in my blog saying that i dont know much about them, i read up and sorry to say i dont find both the biographies interesting. anyway for those of you who are curious to know more about these people, here are some of the websites that i visited.

i would like to say something here..whatever i read about yoko ono did not justify her action of letting others cut a piece of her clothing for world peace. but that is just my opinion..what the world thinks is an entirely different story. and thanks dude uno for your comment.

"Cut Piece is my hope for world peace. Members of the audience are invited to participate in cutting off my clothes one piece at a time.Send the pieces to the one you love".

When I first performed this work, in 1964, I did it with some anger and turbulence in my heart.

"This time I do it with love for you, for me, and for the world."

define peace...

i think i am the only one who blogs twice or more daily but i read the newspapers today and there was this small piece of news about Yoko Ono and it made me laugh out loud and i simply had to write about it in the blog. for those of you who dont know who yoko is, she is actually the widow of john lennon ( beatles). she is a japanese woman. anyway what prompted me to laugh is the news that she offered her clothes as a symbol of peace. what happened was she sat in a gallery all dressed in black and invited anyone and everyone to cut out a piece of her dress to take away. its is supposed to be for world peace. and the idiots actually cut off small pieces of her clothes and she ended up sitting in her undergarments until she was whisked away by the gallery officials. how it is supposed to bring world peace...i just dont understand.

it really amuses me that people come up with their own ideas of world peace. when malaysians came up with the idea "Malaysia for peace" and bear the symbol of white dove as car stickers etc...i was busy critising them. would bush take heed of the few malaysians protesting against the war? would the US millitary stop the war just because malaysians here were having a gathering of some sort, singing and having fun in the name of peace? its really really dumb. why can't these people sit back and think before coming up with such ideas?

peace cannot be achieved just by offering a piece of your clothes, releasing white doves into the air or singing peace songs and having peace gatherings. there is only one way to achieve it. that it by forgeting your background, culture, religion, status and the past and to start living as a human not as a Muslim,Hindu or any other religion. no...i am not against religion. in fact i love my religion. all religion teach about peace and love but somehow in the deep desire to expand the boundaries of the religion, people tend to go overboard.

the true way for peace...let's look into the ethic clash between two major tribes..Hutu and Tutsi in Rwanda.the hutus and tutsi tribes have been rivals for centuries but only in the past two generations have things become brutal, in Burundi and nearby Rwanda. in burundi, the aristrocratic Tutsis ruled over the working class hutus for more than 500 years. the tribes coexisted in relative peace until the europeans came. burundi and rwanda were incorporated into german east africa in the 1890s;belgium took over after world war 1. the germans made the differences between tutsi and hutu into law:divide and conquer.

burundi became independent in 1962 with tutsis controlling the army and the government. just before and after independence, ethic violence flared. in 1972 an attempted coup led to the slaughter of some 150000 hutus..many tutsis were killed too. the latest tutsi dictator had called the first ever presidential election. not suprisingly, a hutu won. four months later, though, tutsi soldies assassinated him. the assasination prompted the hutus to slaughter the tutsis.some 800,000 Rwandans (tutsi) were methodically hunted down and murdered by Hutu extremists as the U.S. and international community refused to intervene.Rwandan citizens begged in vain for protection from the murdering mobs .

those with unfortunate tutsi identity were immediately murdered. imagine those who were your neighbours whom u call aunty and uncle just go around ambushing and killing your family right in front of you.there were rape and killings. innocent children and babies were killed..mass graves were dug. even until now some of the bodies remain unburied. it just lies in the room; all skeleton and bones. the walls are plastered with blood.the gore remains until today.

but then now the rwandan citizen are trying to forget the past and live together in harmony. imagine... having to live with a neighbour who killed your husband and children right in front of you. imagine having to see the man who raped your sisters and wife,daily..imagine having to see the man who slaughtered your baby and not do anything abt it...the cries of the murdered still rings in your head but life goes on. the rwandan citizens (tutsis) try to forget the past and forgive those who have murdered their loved ones in the name of peace to build a new rwanda for the next generation. imagine...there are even single mothers bearing the child of their rapist...there are also married woman who were gang raped and later had to watch their husbands tortured and murdered right in front of their eyes and in the end give birth to the child of their rapist. yet they struggle to make ends met and care for the child.

now tell me...would you be able to do that in the name of peace? next time its better to give it a deep thought before doing anything in the name of peace. let's not disgrace the word PEACE and piss on it!

Sweet Memories

I couldn’t sleep last night. down with flu accompanied by blocked nose and sore throat. As I lay down blinking at the ceiling littered with the luminous stars I bought in melaka 3 years ago, I started thinking about life in campus and the bunch of monkey friends that I have.

I thought about the trip to KFC. That was the best KFC I have ever had. With SA, shanks, kanna and pragash. I still remember SA and shanks having intelligent discussion at the back of the car and kanna lost in the middle: P and we were passing the puchong temple and pragash said we go visit hanuman one day (the temple has a huge hanuman statue) and shanks asked who the heck is hanuman? SA “selamba”ly saying oh..That’s the monkey dude..bodo!

I remembered the part when we stole the two bottles of chili sauce from the outlet. That was the first time I ever stole something and of course pragash proudly proclaims that he is my guru in stealing: P (he also stole A4 paper from the Graphics lab, he he)…these guys can sometimes really get out of hand. Kanna will disappear after eating his food and sa and shanks will just gobble and gobble barrel after barrels of chicken and in the end they all end up calling me “tombe” and all I ate was the pocket of Persia. They love making fun of the way I eat precisely. Then when coming out..these kids trapped in the guys’ body will start writing on the dusty mirror of the outlet. That’s the time when I feel like a mother hen trying to control her brood and I would have to gather them and tell them to go back into the car and sa will mockingly call me mummy..oh man if this the way boys behave I would never want a kid in my life…cluck cluck cluck! aha...not to forget, pragash's very own talking burger:P (even when i am writing this..i am grinning from ear to ear.)he used to use the burger to talk to me..moving the top and mouthing the word..hello..adui!

Aha…won’t forget the time when we were supposed to go makan in puchong. Sa and me attended a seminar and we were delayed. Supposed to go around 8 but ended up going around 11 pm and then precisely near the new lim kok wing building, the tire punctured. I freaked out and didn’t speak a word until the tire was replaced and we were safely in puchong, stuffing ourselves :P

There was also the trip to batu caves for thaipusam with Vicky, kanna, sujen and nalin. That was the first time I was in batu caves during thaipusam. We went to see DJ raj and I was disappointed coz we didn’t go up the temple. And sujen so sweetly offered to take me to the temple the next day and again we went the next day with Sara and pragash tagging along. It was fun. We prayed to every single god, did archanai and walked around.

The trip to puchong temple was a memorable one coz the atheist shanks tagged along. He and sa were not praying…instead they were walking around analyzing the temple and it’s structure and dunno what hypothesis they were doing. When I asked shanks wat was the conclusion of his precise experiments in the temple…he said he came to the conclusion that people come to temple to pray..duh! Pragash was with me for a while and suddenly a man called him and asked him if he was from India( major insult) and was explaining to him the reason for the ceremony which was going on in the temple. He was bullying pragash …when he stood in the middle on the temple, the man asked him to move aside as he was blocking the wireless communication between the god and the peacock :P forced him to go and eat and take plastic for the archanai…we were making fun of him and in his defends he said the man probably had a young daughter and he found the suitor in him..poda lar u!

Also the visit to putrajaya temple to visit DJ raj who was having breathing difficulty and we were making jokes and laughing so hard until DJ who couldn’t breathe properly was laughing with us..felt quite bad after that..after all we were in the ER section but then raj was okay and he was discharged that day itself.

There was also the trip to the Chinese shop in dengkil in two cars..with gopal and satvir, micheal, kanna pragash,sa sham and prem. …Trip to streetmall…I had fun..

Coming to think of it…most of our trips centered around food :P we are such big “tombes” :P

Now with half doing industrial and half moving out, I am going to miss u guys so badly :(

And as shanks would say…killah gangrene

yaaayy...comment page working

yaaaaaaaaay...got the comments page working..thanks to shanx and my hardwork:P

my own blog:)

finally a blog of my own.never really knew that one day i would have the desire to own a blog.i used to think that people who blog are darn stupid,he he!( im pretty sure im gonna get a lot of curses from many of my friends for that statement) anyway the desire to own a blog came when i was reading a book titled Chariot of the Gods by Eric von Daniken.the book was of course recommended by my dad.

eric is so clever and sly. he could twist everything to suit his ways and end up making big bucks by telling lies. it triggered me to put all those thoughts in my mind into words. i do think a lot..sometimes total crap and sometimes really nice stuff and i guess i want to share my thoughts and also find out how many people out there share the same thoughts as me (thats why i added the comment page but it is not working properly right now..dammit)anyway let me tell u about this eric von daniken.

Eric Von Daniken, in his series of books beginning with Chariots of the Gods theorized that Alien/Gods visited the earth long ago, bringing civilization to primative man.

he starts his book with a clever calculation of the number of planets in this universe and how many of them would have living organisms in them and then the man very intelligently manipulates all facts to fit his theory thus making his book a best seller. in his book which sold over 40 million copies, he says that the Earth was visited by extra-terrestrials some 10,000 to 40,000 years ago. While they were here, he suggests, they built the great pyramids in Egypt, laid down air fields that can still be seen today in Peru, and interbred with early humans to produce Homo sapiens. As evidence Von Daniken points to the countless legends seen in cultures around the world that tell of winged gods or flying machines. These were inspired, not by flights of fancy in the teller's mind, but by actual visits down through the ages of aliens with their advanced technology. For more tangible proof Von Daniken points to archaeological oddities found around the world. He suggests that Egyptians could not have built the great pyramid of Cheops without access to advanced technology and it is no coincidence that it's height, when multiplied by 1,000 million, is the distance from the Earth to the Sun. He also claims the famous mysterious lines in Peru's Nazca Plain are an alien airfield and that their unerring straight path for miles, even over mountains, could only be achieved if their building was directed from the air.

one statement that made me chuckle was that the idea that all hindu gods are actually aliens from outer space. the proof? look carefully at a picture of a hindu god.do u see the big round moon at the back of the head?almost covering it? daniken says that's the head gear of a space suit worn by an alien. the humans saw the alien, thought they were gods and started worshiping them as they were mightly and powerful..ah..i almost forgot to add, this man was in jailed for a few years, jailed by the US goverment for his theory denies the truth written in the holy bible.

i checked a few websites after reading his book which was of course mind blowing (if u were truly naive,u would beleive every single word that he says)and some criticise his work.As intriguing as the idea of ancient astronauts might be, Von Daniken's "evidence" is less then convincing when examined closely. The great pyramid's height is not a 1,000 millionth the distance to the sun. Archaeologists have found evidence that simple techniques like barges and earth ramps were used to build the monuments of ancient Egypt. Straight lines, like those found at Nazca, can be made by simply planting two sticks in the earth, using them to line up a third, and then repeating the pattern for any distance needed.

As for his theories that the astronauts mated with human beings, it seems unlikely that visitors from space would be so biologically close to humans that they could interbreed. Also DNA evidence seems to suggest all human beings alive today can trace their ancestry back to a very small group of pre-humans living in Africa some 100 thousand years ago.

Of course these discrepancies don't prove that Earth wasn't visited by ancient astronauts, but it is unlikely such an astounding claim will be accepted without some equally astounding proof (Like a 23rd century watch found on the wrist of a recently unearthed mummy).

Strangely enough some scientists have speculated that we may indeed had ancient extraterrestrial visitors, but they didn't wear shiny suits or arrive in flying saucers.

Discovery of a meteorite from Mars that contains what looks like fossil microbes have led some experts to suggest that if Mars did have life some of it may have traveled here via a rock blasted out of that planet when the planet was struck by a large asteroid. While objects found in this Mars rock are definitely dead, there is speculation there maybe other microbes that could have survived the journey. If so, they could have influenced life on Earth.

in that case,im planning to come up with my theory, the idea of god sprouted from a visit by an alien to earth but god is definately not a man from outer space. maybe i should write a book on that..any publishers?:P
